Google Authenticator MFA/2FA

You can opt for Google Authenticator. Here is a quick guide on how to configure this.

Adding Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) helps keep your Google account safe by requiring more than just a password. With Google Authenticator, you’ll generate a one-time code on your phone whenever you log in.
✅ Step 1: Install Google Authenticator

  1. On your phone, open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).
  2. Search for Google Authenticator.
  3. Tap Install.

✅ Step 2: Turn on 2-Step Verification in Google

  • On your computer, go to: myaccount.google.com/security.
  • Under “Signing in to Google”, click 2-Step Verification.
  • Sign in with your Google account password.
  • Click Get Started.
✅ Step 3: Choose the Authenticator App as Your Second Step
  • On the 2-Step Verification setup page, scroll down to Authenticator App.
  • Click Set up.
  • Choose your phone type (Android or iPhone).
  • QR code will appear on your screen.
✅ Step 4: Link Your Account in Google Authenticator
  • On your phone, open Google Authenticator.
  • Tap the “+” button (bottom right).
  • Choose Scan a QR code.
  • Point your phone’s camera at the QR code on your computer screen.
  • Your Google account will now appear in the Authenticator app with a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
✅ Step 5: Verify and Finish Setup
  • Enter the 6-digit code from the Authenticator app into the Google setup page.
  • Click Verify.

  • You’re all set!
