🔐 Okta Login & Google Authenticator Setup Guide

This guide walks you through logging into your Okta account and setting up Google Authenticator for secure multi-factor authentication (MFA).

✅ Step 1: Log into Okta

1. Open your browser and go to your organization’s Okta login page.
  Example: https://bhope.okta.com

2. Enter your credentials:
  - Username: Your company email address
  - Password: Your New Okta password (linked from Curtis)

3. Click Sign In.

📱 Step 2: Set Up Google Authenticator

If this is your first time logging in or if MFA setup is required, you’ll be prompted to configure a second factor.

1. Choose an MFA method:
  - Select Google Authenticator from the list of available options.

2. Install Google Authenticator on your mobile device:
  - iOS: App Store – Google Authenticator
  - Android: Google Play – Google Authenticator

3. Open the app and tap the '+' icon to add a new account, if you have never used it before, click on ‘add a code’ 

4. Scan the QR code displayed on your Okta screen using the app.

5. The app will generate a 6-digit code. Enter this code in the Okta prompt.

6. Click Verify or Next to complete the setup.

🧪 Step 3: Test Your Login

1. Log out of Okta and try logging in again.

2. After entering your username and password, you’ll be prompted for a code from Google Authenticator.

3. Open the app, enter the current 6-digit code, and click Verify.
